Daring potential
I love to hear music like this, raw and emotional, with every promise of grandeur and compositional talent!
The composer has a fine sense for drama and musical line. Also a very good instinct for arrangement! Lots of drama here. One hears the power that the composer is trying to convey!
All this piece needs is a little more attention to midi parameters, dynamics, and mixing balance. Spend more time experimenting with amplitude parameters, as well as the "attack, delay and release" parameters in the string line. A longer release time will give you a better feel of legato. Using this with more reverb you get a more "overlapped" feeling, more line, out of your strings. A slightly higher attack setting will also "ease" you into a note more gently.
That said, the piece shows talent and ambition! Work a little harder on your midi handwork, and you will better be able to convey the power and inspiration I hear exploding in your music!
Best of luck!
